Freshwater Angelfish is a beautiful ornamental variety of the freshwater angelfish. It combines the Marble pattern (black, white, and silver marbling) with the Blushing trait, where the gill covers are transparent, revealing the red gills beneath.

Diet
Marble Blushing Angels are omnivores:
- High-quality angelfish pellets or flakes
- Frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, and daphnia
- Live foods occasionally
- Vegetable-based foods such as spirulina flakes
Feed 2–3 small meals daily.
Tank Mates
Good companions include:
- Peaceful tetras (larger species such as emperor or black phantom tetras)
- Corydoras catfish
- Peaceful rainbowfish
- Peaceful gouramis
- Bristlenose plecos
- Peaceful dwarf cichlids such as Apistogramma borellii in a spacious, well-structured aquarium
Avoid:
- Fin-nippers such as tiger barbs
- Very small fish (such as neon tetras) that may be viewed as prey by adult angels
- Aggressive cichlids like Hemichromis exsul or Neolamprologus leleupi
Breeding
- Open-substrate spawner.
- Eggs are laid on vertical surfaces such as plant leaves or slate.
- Both parents guard the eggs and fry.
- Eggs hatch in 2–3 days.
- Fry become free-swimming after 5–7 days.

- Maintain excellent water quality with weekly 25–30% water changes.
- Avoid overcrowding, as angelfish can become territorial as they mature.
- Keep them in groups of 5–6 juveniles if you want them to naturally form breeding pairs.
