Varigated Anubias Dragon Claw (plant pot)

Variegated Anubias ‘Dragon Claw’ is a rare and highly prized aquarium plant, especially among collectors. It combines the unique leaf shape of the “Dragon Claw” type with striking variegation (patches of white, cream, or light green on the leaves).

 Key Features

• Leaf shape: Deeply lobed or claw-like, giving a “dragon claw” appearance
• Variegation: Irregular patterns—each leaf can look different
• Growth rate: Very slow (even slower than normal Anubias)
• Size: Small to medium (great for nano to mid-size tanks)

 Care Guide

Lighting

• Low to medium light is best
• Too much light can damage variegated parts (they lack chlorophyll)

Water Parameters

• Temperature: 22–28°C
• pH: 6.0–7.5
• Soft to moderately hard water

Placement

• Do NOT bury the rhizome
• Attach to driftwood or rocks using thread or glue

CO₂ & Fertilization

• CO₂ not required, but helps growth slightly
• Use liquid fertilizers for better health

 Special Care for Variegation

• Variegated sections grow slower and are more delicate
• If a leaf turns fully green, it may revert (common in variegated plants)
• Trim fully green leaves if you want to maintain variegation

 Propagation

• Done by cutting the rhizome
• Each piece should have at least 3–4 leaves
• Variegation may or may not carry over to new growth
