The Marble Blushing Angelfish (Pterophyllum scalare) is a beautiful ornamental freshwater fish prized for its marbled black-and-white body patterns, translucent fins, and distinctive pinkish gill area known as the “blushing” effect. Care Guide

• Tank size: 150 litres or larger for a pair; a larger, tall aquarium is recommended.

• Water temperature: 26–30°C.

• pH: Approximately 6.0–7.5.

• Diet: Quality cichlid flakes or pellets, supplemented with frozen or live brine shrimp and bloodworms.

• Temperament: Semi-peaceful; may become territorial when breeding.

• Adult size: Around 15 cm body length, with fins making the fish considerably taller.

• Lifespan: Commonly 8–10 years or more with good care.

• Tank setup: Tall aquarium, gentle water flow, plants, driftwood, and open swimming space.

• Tank mates: Compatible medium-sized, peaceful fish. Avoid tiny fish that may be eaten and fin-nipping species.
