Black Diamond Shrimp features a stunning dark color. Known to some as Black Tiger Shrimp, these stunning animals are a deep black-brown color, which immediately draws all eyes to them in any aquarium set-up. Black Diamond shrimp are a selectively bred variant of Neocaridina davidi – the same species as Sakura Red Cherry shrimp.  Care requirements for these shrimp are close to those for Sakura Red Cherry shrimp.  When kept in high quality water that is maintained within the recommended water parameters, these shrimp may grow into a large, beautiful colony!   As with all dwarf shrimp, a colony of Black Diamond shrimp works as a very effective cleaning crew for your tanks, cleaning up algae and waste.

RECOMMENDED TANK PARAMETERS:

  • Temperature: 64° – 84° F (17.8° – 28.8° C)
  • pH: 6.8 – 7.5
  • KH: 0 – 10 dKH
  • Minimum tank size: 2 gallons

 

These shrimps have unique deep black coloration. It is completely peaceful with all non-aggressive tankmates. It’s safe with all plants and an excellent scavenger. These shrimp are easy to care for in the home freshwater aquarium and breed well. They will adapt to a wide range of water conditions and will thrive in the same conditions as many common aquarium fish. Neutral to slightly alkaline pH, with zero ammonia and nitrite as well as low nitrate, gives best results. A cooling system is recommended in warm climates.

    Ordered black shrimps and plants. Reached in very good condition. I didn’t expect plants to be this live after 2 days in packing! Shrimps were very active as well

    Ordered plants and shrimps …..received the package after 3.5 days and I was in no hope of shrimp being alive but to my surprise every shrimp are alive and active every credit goes to the professional level packing and plants are also packed neatly ,every plants are healthy and good.
